MY MANIFESTO
Infrastructure & Urban Planning: Ending Chaos, Building Legacy
Westlands is booming with high-rises, but our roads, drainage, water, and power systems are collapsing. Enough is enough.Champion a Westlands Urban Renewal Master Plan that regulates high-rise development, protects green spaces, and upgrades roads (including dualling key arteries and fixing potholes permanently).
Security, Health & Education: Safety and Quality Services for All
A safe Westlands is a prosperous Westlands.Strengthen community policing and install smart CCTV in hotspots. Expand and equip health facilities for quality, affordable care – including maternal health and emergency services.
Economic Empowerment & Jobs: From Hustle to Prosperity
Our youth and small businesses are the engine of this constituency, yet many feel left behind by high living costs and limited opportunities.Prioritize skills and innovation hubs in Westlands – tech training, vocational centers for plumbing, electrical, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. Support SMEs and traders with accessible credit, market sheds, and reduced bureaucracy. Advocate for policies that create real jobs in construction, services, tourism, and the creative economy.
Accountability, Anti-Corruption & Strong Representation
I will not be a rubber-stamp MP. Westlands needs a fearless voice in Parliament.Demand transparency in CDF and all public funds – regular town halls, audited reports, and digital tracking so you see every shilling. Fight corruption at all levels and push for legislation that protects taxpayers. Represent all of Westlands – not one community, not one interest group. Our diversity (Luhya, Kikuyu, Luo, Kamba, Asian, and others) is our strength.
Youth & Women Empowerment: The Future Starts Now
Westlands has energetic, informed youth and dynamic women. They will not be sidelined.Dedicated youth enterprise fund and mentorship programs. Women’s economic empowerment through skills, markets, and leadership training.

What My Supporters Say
A Parent’s Perspective
As a father, I have watched James grow into a man of integrity and purpose. Leadership has always been part of who he is. Tangu akiwa mdogo, alikuwa na moyo wa kusaidia watu. I believe he has the discipline and heart to serve Westlands. Na najua hata akiwa kwa uongozi, hatasahau watu wa chini.”
John Mumasaba- Father
From a Colleague
“I have worked with James, and I can confidently say he is focused, consistent, and solution-oriented. He doesn’t just talk—he delivers. Ni mtu wa vitendo, si story mingi. Westlands needs someone ambaye anajua kupanga na kutekeleza, na huyu ako ready kabisa.”
Michael Jozee- Colleague
From a former Classmate
“I knew James as a classmate, and even back then, he stood out. He was organized, thoughtful, and always ready to lead. Alikuwa mtu wa watu, si kujibeba. Seeing him now, I’m not surprised—hii leadership ilikuwa ndani yake tangu kitambo.”
Evans Kirwa-Classmate
From My Young Brother
“I have known James all my life. Not just as my brother, but as someone who has always taken responsibility seriously. He has always looked out for others. Kama kaka mkubwa, alikuwa anajali watu na kusimama na ukweli.
What you see today in leadership is not new. Hii ni tabia yake tangu kitambo. I believe in him, na najua Westlands iko kwa mikono salama.

Working with Wesonga was our smartest decision
Hon. James Wesonga is not the kind of leader who appears only during elections. I have seen him engage people on the ground, listen, and follow up. Westlands needs a leader who understands the real struggles of the people, and I believe he is that leader.
David Baraza - Community Leader (Kangemi)
"He speaks to our future"
As a young person, I feel like Hon. Wesonga actually speaks to our future. His ideas around skills, opportunities, and empowerment are exactly what many of us have been waiting for.
Kevin Omondi- Youth (Parklands)
"Focused on women empowerment"
For years, women have been promised support but given very little. What stands out about Hon. Wesonga is his focus on structured empowerment like revolving funds and support for chamas. That is real change.
Gladys Mbone- Woman Entrepreneur (Mountain View)
"Dully committed"
His commitment to improving education, reducing overcrowding, and supporting students is something I deeply appreciate. It shows he understands that the future of Westlands begins in our classrooms.
William Wanyonyi- Teacher (Highridge)
"Tuko Nyuma Yako!!"
We did welcomed your views and your ambitions.
You are a man of true words,na tuko nyuma yako
Robert Organizing Secretary Ingwe Gachie Branch
''He understands our struggles"
“Hon. Wesonga understands the challenges we face as small traders. From access to capital to better working environments, his vision gives me confidence that businesses in Westlands will finally have a voice.”
Wolbar Orori - Small Business Owner (Westlands CBD)
A thespian's view
As an artist, I’ve never seen leadership take the creative industry seriously. His plan to support artists and build a creative hub is inspiring. It shows he sees potential where others don’t.
Allan Shioso- Creative (Kitisuru)
"We do not need handouts!"
We don’t need handouts. We need dignity, safe spaces, and support to grow our businesses. Hon. Wesonga speaks about these things in a way that feels honest and respectful.
Martina Wairimu- Mama Mboga (Kangemi Market)
"He talks about opportunity"
What makes him different is that he talks about opportunity, not just politics. From mentorship to exposure programs, I see a leader who wants young people to grow and succeed.
Clinton Kimutai- University Student (Parklands)
"Involves the people"
I’ve worked in community programs for years, and I can tell when someone is genuine. Hon. Wesonga’s approach to involving people in governance is something we have lacked for a long time.
Fredrick Ludenyi- Community Volunteer (Spring Valley)
"Westlands needs a FRESH approach"
Westlands has needed a fresh approach to leadership. Hon. James Wesonga represents hope, structure, and a clear plan for the future. I fully support his vision of a livable Westlands for all of us.
